We built the bot platform we couldn't find.
HelmFi started in early 2026 when its founder went looking for a crypto trading bot with verifiable evidence behind it — and found an industry of backtest screenshots, renamed failures, and "AI" that was a subscription dashboard. So we built the infrastructure to test strategies honestly, watched most of our own ideas die in validation, and decided the failures were the product's credibility, not its embarrassment.
Today HelmFi runs one live strategy — the Helm Index — because one is what survived. The platform around it (the validation gate, the public graveyard, the regime classifier, the paper-first flow) exists so that when a second strategy ships, you'll know exactly what it had to survive to get there.

What we hold ourselves to
Eighteen strategies have gone through our validation gate and died. Every one is in the public graveyard with what it claimed, what walk-forward actually showed, and what killed it. The industry norm is to quietly rename and relaunch — we think showing the bodies is the only honest way to sell the survivor.
Every account starts in paper mode. Live execution is an explicit opt-in with a risk acknowledgment, and the live product is deliberately boring: a drawdown-managed index, not a money-printer promise.
Trade-only API keys, withdrawal permissions never requested, credentials encrypted at rest. Your funds sit on your exchange where we cannot touch them. We run the strategy; you keep the keys.
Anything we claim about performance links to a validation artifact you can inspect — including the limitations section, which we write first. If a number on this site can't be traced to an artifact, that's a bug; tell us.
